Private & Semi-private Lessons for Everyone

I offer private lessons and workshops both in my studio and on location.  

​Private lessons are customized to the level and interest of the individual student.  My students range in age from 6 to 90 and of every skill level.

I offer lessons in drawing from nature, drawing in perspective, painting in Watercolor, painting in Acrylic on paper, canvas and fabric, printing from traditional woodblocks and printing using stencils and found objects, sculpting in air drying clay, plaster, and soapstone. I enjoy teaching figure drawing and painting. The wonder of color and the power of composition are taught through all media. Art history provides a context for traditional techniques.  Contemporary art offers the challenge of the future.

Nothing is more satisfying at any age than discovering you can do the thing you never knew you could do.  I will lead you to success.

Introductory Session

I offer a free one-half hour introductory session to discuss your ambitions and goals. Openings are limited, so don't delay. 

Rates for Adult Students

One-on-one lessons are intense but relaxed and joyful. Or if you enjoy sharing the experience with others, semi-private lessons are available in my spacious studio in San Diego, CA.

Class size limited to 3 pupils.

Rates for Junior Students

All the fundamentals of art will be explored through a variety of project….drawing, painting, printing and sculpting.  Famous artists and their work will be referenced.
